WEEK 1: STRATEGIC PLANNING ASSIGNMENT DRAFT

     My project is focused on a Non Governmental Organization called the Innercity Mission. It is a non for profit whose headquarters are in Lagos, Nigeria, but also operates internationally in over 70 countries worldwide. The InnerCity Mission was founded by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, President of Loveworld Incorporated. It is a faith based organization which focuses on providing amenities to children who are unable to afford them. 

    They provide a range of amenities which include food, water, healthcare services, shelter and education services. Through a highly developed network of donors and sponsors, the InnerCity Mission has also built serveral hospitals and schools in underdeveloped parts of Nigeria which are free access to families who are unable to afford the services of other private or public schools and hospitals.

 HOW SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP REPRESENTS AGENCY IN A CAPITALIST ECONOMY The concept of a capitalist system typically revolves around free market and private property within the market. Although these factors create innovation within the market, they also tend to create inequalities. Social entrepreneurship seeks to solve inequalities and market problems through the operations of an enterprise. these enterprises may provide goods or services to individuals or communities who do not have access to it within the free capitalist market. Already there is a sense of a general incompatibility between both systems.
